The Dairy Science Digest podcast team invited Professor Éric Paquet, from Université Laval’s Faculté des sciences de l’agriculture et de l’alimentation, and animal science PhD student Félix Huot to discuss the prevalence of SARA in Quebec dairy herds.
Subacute rumen acidosis, commonly known as SARA, could deprive your herd of production. When the pH is too low for too long, rumen biology changes, fat levels fall and the overall health of the herd is affected.
